The scenic design of El Mito is centered around Michelle, the main character of the story. We see everything as it happens through her eyes, filtered through the lens of her own perspective. The scenery, therefore, mimics what she sees and finds important in her life. Her bedroom, which is her private space, is very realistic, as it is a safe room where she can escape from the struggles she faces within her life. Other spaces, like the telenovela set, are less realistic- they are not priorities in her life, so she doesn’t think of them in quite as much detail.
